The purpose of the design was to build a new lens for a surgical lighting source used by dentists. The main problem of such design is to follow the regulations, and to reach a collimator shape allowing to get a nice lighted area with no shadows when the dentist places his hand in the field.

The purpose of the design was to build a new lighting system for a safety lighting. The difficulty of this design consists in getting a uniforme luminance, using Photo Realistic Rendering technique, and a reasonoble intensity distribution.
